If you ever watch movies at all, you are probably familiar with the concept of the “teaser trailer.” These are advertisements for upcoming films whose releases are often over a year away. The spots are usually around ten to fifteen seconds long and provide no useful information about the movie, except possibly that it is being very expensively produced. The only possible reaction these trailers can produce in me, should the film in question be based on a book I love, contain an actor/actress I enjoy, or be part of a series that I am particularly attached to, is a sensation of pining, and some serious resentment that I won’t be seeing the film for some time.
Well… there’s one of those living in a trash bag in my trunk right now.
Coming soon to a pair of carders near you.
