Martha

Martha Elanor Osborn was born at 12:23 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 5th 2015.

“Martha” after a beloved friend, pastor, teacher, and mentor, one of the most powerful women who has ever touched our lives. And after the outspoken woman in the Bible, Jesus’ friend, who proclaims in the middle of grief, “Yes Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, he who is coming into the world.” (John 11:27).
“Elanor” after the star-shaped yellow flowers that grow under the trees of Lothlorien, and apart from that only grow in the undying lands.

Martha was born naturally at the Midwife Center after about 4.5 hours of active labor. I’m almost ready to start writing that birth story in earnest. You’re gonna love this.
