We’d more or less decided to go to Trinity over Gordon-Conwell (pending acceptance, of course), until we looked over our receipts from last week’s trip and discovered a crucial fact.
Apparently, Massachusetts does not tax yarn purchases.
FINALLY, a state that UNDERSTANDS that yarn is just as rudimentary an essential as, say, milk! or broccoli!
Unfortunately, not having to pay sales tax on yarn would not make up for the significant difference in cost between attending the two seminaries, which was one of the main factors in our decision.
Though I definitely stopped to think about it.
How would I ever explain to folks that I lost a student because PA has a sales tax on yarn? Don’t do this to me. 🙂
