I knitted for my friend:
Blueberry Chocolate socks! With marshmallows!
I called these socks, which now belong to Fjord, the “cultured socks,” because long stretches of them were knit at a Bela Fleck concert and at a performance of the Screwtape letters. The Araucania Ranco Multi that they were knit with variegated beautifully. They are the Yarn Harlot’s plain sock recipe, with a star toe out of Nancy Bush’s Folk Socks book just to add a little interest.
Things I learned from this project:
1. Pretty yarn. Pretty pretty. Can I have more please. Oh wait I already bought more of it. Mmm pretty.
2. Bigger needles = faster socks. Um. Duh? The things you don’t notice when you don’t think…
