Series: Liturgical Year

 Liturgical Year Pattern Series

This pattern series celebrates the tradition of the Christian calendar through design. Each pattern is inspired by the season and by Christian symbols that span denominations and time – from the forming of Trinitarian and Christological doctrine in the early church, to the symbols that adorn churches throughout the West, from Bible stories to the tales of holy men and women that still inspire us.

For the purposes of this series, pattern release dates will mostly follow the Western calendar, but Eastern Christian symbolism contributes to these patterns as well. This is meant to be a bit of an Ecumenical mashup – an opportunity to learn a few of the symbols of fellow Christians through the calendar we share. In the spirit of the 2011 Lenten KAL, this series will be accompanied by articles on the OFS blog further exploring the symbolism and story of the Liturgical calendar.

When you purchase the whole series, you will receive a link to each pattern by email as it comes out. If you prefer instead to receive email updates when individual patterns are released, without subscribing, sign up for the OFS newsletter.
