I had an odd feeling the other day… a feeling that I wasn’t doing much knitting. It took about five minutes of reflection to realize that was bogus; I am as steeped in a mess of wool as ever. I’ve just been so busy with it that I haven’t had time to blog about it [...] Picture, if you will, a large stand-alone screened-in porch. Inside, the walls are lined up to waist-level with boxes of vegetables, and a couple of tables take up space. It’s short for Sesquahanna, so don’t get it wrong. Yes, I’m back at the Osborns. No, I’m not interested enough to tell you why. Rebecca (who patronizingly calls herself “Aunty Rebecca” in my presence; ugh. Really.) has me writing her blog today. Don’t ask me why; [...] Sock continues safely and soundly, but self-control makes for really boring blog posts, so I had to do something drastic to maintain your attention. This is what I looked like this morning. I’d give you a more accurate “before” picture, but my camera battery died before I got a good picture of my hair in the [...] I am pleased to report an example of the fact that, if you work on something, it will actually get done. I am pleased with the contrasting heel and toe decision, and was surprisingly entranced by the salt-and-pepper bits on the sole and toe. For some reason, I thought they would be annoying the way seed [...] I am happy to report that Hanna got to go back to her family on Saturday. They are happy to have her home, and I’m sure she is doesn’t mind having familiar surroundings back again. Her last official act as TempCat to a KnitBlogger was to provide, um… scale. She didn’t seem to mind. This sock yarn [...] I’ve spent the past several Wednesday afternoons down on the farm, carding my little heart out. This week I finished the Dorset I dyed a little while ago. There are lots of excellent videos on youtube on how to use a drum carder to card fleece; I used this one, which is fantastically goofy and [...] Apparently, this is my 200th post since I started blogging about knitting over a year ago. I’ve really enjoyed doing all of this knitterly blathering, so I hope you’ve enjoyed reading it.
